LOCATION:
The company is located at 1851 Harbor Bay Pkwy, Alameda, CA 94502. Hybrid schedule with candidates coming in 2-3 days a week.
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The R&D FP&A Analyst will provide support for the company’s clinical trial forecast and accrual process. The ideal candidate will be detailed oriented, show an initiative to learn, and be a collaborative team player. Plays an active role supporting our R&D team focusing on Clinical Trials Forecasting primarily and secondarily monthly financial close.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
· Primary responsibility will be to Clinical Trials forecasting, financial close, and Reporting processes
· Monthly Clinical Trials Metrics Forecast Reporting
· Dashboard maintenance: Clinical Trials Forecast Tracking and FTE analysis
· Monthly Clinical Trials timelines and PSC timelines (Batches, Packaging/Logistics, CMC) reporting
· Document current forecast, close, and reporting process (SOP work) and explore ideas to improve each process
· Explore Reporting and key Metrics Dashboards, develop, and implement new Reporting and dashboarding needs to support R&D organization
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
· BS/BA degree in related discipline
· Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
· Three to five years of FP&A or Accounting experience supporting Clinical trial process during forecasting and close periods preferred. Willingness to train the right candidate if you have strong FP&A or Accounting experience outside of the Pharmaceutical R&D industry.
· FP&A Clinical Trial and Site Model Accrual experience
· Clinical trial, R&D, or Pharmaceutical Supply Chain business partner support
· Clinical trial or R&D contracts FP&A experience
· FP&A reporting and analysis experience
· Clinical accrual audit schedules experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
· Team player/collaboration
· Accountability/deadlines focused
· Financial systems and Excel savvy
· Openness to learn willingness to collaborate
· Communication skills; Process improvement oriented
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
