JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Owning month-end close fluctuation analytics, driving explanations and validating accounting treatment across the entities.
- Applies principles of accounting to analyze complex financial information and prepare financial reports.
- Assists with leading and communicating accounting and auditing policies and procedures.
- Analyzes accounts, records, and reports. Investigates and resolves any accounting issues. Maintains the standard chart of accounts, ensuring adherence to policies around account setup and usage.
- Prepares data for financial statements, & quarterly and annual regulatory filings using applicable systems.
- Reviews/performs complex reconciliations and analyzes resulting variances. Proposes and prepares any adjusting entries necessary resulting from reconciliations.
- Research questions and investigates variances on the financial statements & communicates findings.
- Prepares complex reports in support of internal and external audits.
- Provide value-added analytical management reporting, including ad hoc requests, to help provide the organization with a deeper understanding of functional expenses, variances, and SGA changes and help identify additional efficiency opportunities.
- Assisting Corporate finance team with other projects, including monthly consolidations, year-end financial statement audits, and accounting policy standardization and implementation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in accounting, finance, economics, or similar
- Big-4 experience and/or CPA is very nice to have
- Thorough understanding of GAAP accounting principles, general accounting concepts, and technical and financial accounting concepts.
- Month-end close experience (JE, recons, accruals, financial reporting, etc.)
- Strong with systems, up to and including implementation experience – preference
- Onestream software or Hyperion Financial Management software highly preferred
- Strong excel proficiency
- A tech forward approach to managing day to day tasks – we love to automate and make things more efficient and so should you!

- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Ability to work independently and the skill to interact with all levels and departments.
