Management Company Senior Accountant
COMPANY DESCRIPTION:
Our client is an investment firm focused on crypto and blockchain-related technologies across the globe. They make investments in companies and protocols at all stages, ranging from early-stage venture financing rounds to growth equity to liquid token assets. The company has been hard at work building a world-class team to support its portfolio and the crypto ecosystem globally, with the broader goal of accelerating crypto’s ability to improve people’s lives worldwide.
Company is very bullish on the future given their “sticky” institutional investors and fixed management fees that they charge. They have over a ten-year runway.
BVOH has placed the entire investment accounting side of the house including the Corporate Controller, the Assistant Controller, two Finance Managers (who were both promoted from Associate), and a Finance Associate on the team, who have all consistently given strong feedback about the culture, the work, and the growth opportunities.
This person, with the support of the Controller, will oversee the general ledger accounting from their outsourced accounting team, their payroll provider, and their tax provider. Over time, this person may have the opportunity to gain exposure to the investment accounting side of the house as well.
Successful candidates will be team players, interested in working in multiple areas, and will have strong communication skills as this position will work hand in hand with the Management Company Controller, CFO, and COO on a consistent basis.

• Help oversee outsourced accounting team and analyze account information
• Review monthly expense reports from employees to ensure compliance with expense policy
• Oversee accounts payable process through bill.com and outsourced accounting team
• Assist in managing PEO service and processing semi-monthly payroll
• Perform the monthly/quarterly close process including preparation of reconciliation,
• accounting schedules, and quarterly budget reporting
• Prepare/assist in management reporting such as cash flow projection and compensation reports, etc.
• Assist in budget creation and reporting
• Assist in the annual year-end financials and tax process
• Maintain vendor reporting and contract terms
• Be a resource in responding to general inquiries from employees
• Establish, maintain, and comply with accounting policies and procedures in accordance with best industry practices
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 2-5 years of experience
• Experience with bill.com, QuickBooks, Excel and Google Sheets
• Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets including fluency in Pivot Tables, Index, and VLOOKUPs
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure: $110,000-$130,000. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
