Under the direct supervision of the Controller, the Accounting Manager is responsible for supporting a high-growth company by evaluating and creating scalable Accounting processes and procedures. This role will own the recording and reporting of daily Revenue and Expense transactions, culminating in the month-end Financial close. This role will be an integral part of a small team of 2-3 members at a rapidly growing company – creating efficiency to scale will be a primary focus of all tasks.

Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Controller, the Accounting Manager is responsible for supporting a high-growth company by evaluating and creating scalable Accounting processes and procedures. This role will own the recording and reporting of daily Revenue and Expense transactions, culminating in the month-end Financial close. Duties/Responsibilities
- Work cross-functionally with a lean Operations team to streamline processes and procedures using strong communication skills and a growth mindset
- Own the month-end close including Revenue, Inventory, COGS, and BS reconciliations in Quickbooks and related platforms, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation by streamlining workflows, implementing best practices, and leveraging technology to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Assist in Fulfil.io ERP implementation
- Manage and perform AP New vendor setup and invoice processing in Bill.com
- Create and oversee a 3-way match discrepancy process in collaboration with Production and Supply Chain team using Fulfil.io
- Manage Vendor Master and ensure accurate documentation is retained
- Manage annual 1099 filings
- Manage B2B invoicing and Accounts Receivable
- Manage B2B trade spend and chargeback process
- Administer Expense reporting platform and process expense reports
- Administer Sales Tax filings within Avalara
- Assist in the development and maintenance of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations Assist to complete other regulatory and statutory audits
- Perform other ad hoc projects and reporting as requested and to support business growth and scaling
- Support future initiatives to interview, hire, coach, and mentor a high-performing team
- The position is required to travel occasionally to the production facility site in the Southern King County region (Washington state)
- The position is required to be remote 100% (outside of occasional travel to production facility)
- Possesses exceptional attention to detail, follow-through, and superior organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal, time and project management, presentation, leadership, and communication skills
- Enthusiastic about designing and implementing systems and procedures
- Proven ability to improve accounting processes and increase team efficiencies
- Receptiveness to feedback and adaptability to changing priorities/initiatives
- Experience with Inventory accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Direct experience with AP and AR required
- Experience with multi-jurisdiction sales tax filings
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, with intermediate/advanced Excel
- Experience with Avalara, Bill.com, QBO, and Expensify is a plus
- Minimum 8+ years of related experience, with at least three of those years in the accounting operations and close area within CPG industry
- Managerial experience a plus
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
