Our client, is a uniquely long-term oriented private equity firm that seeks to hold and grow businesses indefinitely rather than follow the 5-7 year holding period of a typical private equity fund.
The firm has tripled the number of companies in its portfolio and doubled its overall EBITDA in the past two years. They are very acquisitive, including 57 add-ons since they were founded in late 2017.
This is a great opportunity for a driven individual who wants to touch all aspects of finance (from capital allocation and planning to reporting and analysis, due diligence and integration, and capital markets) at a company that not only strongly values finance, but whose employees all have a finance background.
This individual will sit in on weekly investment team meetings, work with portfolio companies on post-acquisition projects, aid in debt refinancings/equity recapitalizations, perform financial due diligence, complete strategic analysis on potential deals, create models detailing the first year of post-integration, and monitor company performance post mortem.
JOB DESCRIPTION: At the company, finance is front and center of what we do. It informs every investment we make and every dollar of capital we source. It allows us to report on and evaluate our performance over time. And it turns insights into action by helping our CEO’s make informed decisions that grow their businesses.
As the company continues its high pace of growth, we understand that we need to scale this competency. That is why we are looking for an ambitious Senior Strategic Financial Analyst who is interested in helping build-out our Strategic Finance function. This person will partner with our VP of Finance to determine what capabilities are needed to achieve our company-wide goals over the next few years, and then set out to start executing on that vision. In this role, you’ll get to put your fingerprint on all facets of finance– from capital allocation and planning, to reporting and analysis, due diligence and integration, and capital markets. Over time, you’ll also get to start recruiting a team to support the expanding needs of the business.
