LOCATION: San Francisco, CA
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position has responsibility for our client's accounting and reporting function as it relates to all aspects of its funds, including capital calls, distributions, management fee, waterfall and performance incentive calculations, NAV package review, capital account statements, fund performance metrics, and support the year-end audits.

ACCOUNTING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Undergraduate/graduate degree in accounting
• 2-5 years’ experience (private equity)
• CPA license or path to CPA desired, but not required
• Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
RESPONSIBILITIES - Accounting
• Perform quarterly and annual closing procedures for all funds – NAV package review
• Responsible for fund related activities including:
o Capital calls
o Distributions
o Requests for information
o Maintaining accounting and legal records
• Maintain performance reporting, IRR calculations and incentive calculations
• Liaise with administrator to address accounting questions/issues
• Support the interim and annual audits
• Maintenance of in-house accounting system (journal entry light)
Additional Exposure/Tasks
• Private valuations
• Annual and other compliance filings
• Fund/SPV formation
• Tax compliance
• Special projects with respect to overall firm operations
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure: $85,000-$140,000. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
